A leader, it networks enormously
To stay informed, share experiences or open up to new opportunities, networking is essential.
The leaders have their networks. Entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs, women leaders: just as there are communities dedicated to sales managers, social media managers or accountants, networks of leaders are developing.
Like any network, the networks of leaders, be they clubs, associations or virtual communities, have as their goal to allow an exchange. Exchange of good practices, contacts, recommendations, business. Exchanges also on common interests. For the most committed, participation in think tanks or think tanks on economic or social issues of national interest, for example (a digital issue in France, measures for employment ...). The expertise of the leaders, drawn from the field, is valued.
Why exchange with peers
Because the problems encountered are often common. Business, recruitment, international development, implementation in France, process optimization, training, HR initiatives, the well-being of employees: the sharing of experience (s) and expertise allows a certain enrichment and questioning certain certainties or decisions. Since it is impossible to be an expert in everything, the exchange is often very rewarding. The mere fact of confronting different orientations, other ways of seeing or conceiving, of other perspectives, gives new inspirations.
Going to meet one's network can be a real breath of fresh air for some. Because it opens new horizons or simply because we find a certain comfort to exchange with people facing the same issues and the same pressure (management, the obligation of results, tax burden ...).

Moreover, to weave these links also makes it possible to be kept informed of the various events which can come to agitate the macrosphere as microeconomic. By exchanging with peers, themselves connected to other networks, better informed or inspired, some information filter. Mergers to come, sale or buyout of a company, bankruptcy of a commercial partner, financial difficulties of a provider: the information collected during more informal exchanges with the network allows better anticipation of events and sometimes a greater foresight to accompany decision-making.
New relationships and business recommendations
This theory, which is true so much for the job search for the search for business partners for example, highlights the importance and the need to develop and maintain its network beyond its private sphere, where information flows. Thus, the events allowing the meeting of new contacts, not connected to your own network, are generally good business contributors. This is not to say that we must neglect strong links, obviously. But it seems essential not to confine oneself to a known sphere in which only contacts that are also linked to each other are side by side.
In what context can one develop one's network beyond the first circle of relations? For a manager, any meeting, any event (customer event, award ceremony, seminar, conference, training for high potential ...) can expand its network constructively. Meeting potential partners, new customers, service providers or suppliers, public relations professionals, the press, the legal profession or finance: it is essential to maintain relations with these key players, who can potentially participate in the development of a project or company, either immediately or in the longer term.
